Nas emerged in 1994 with Illmatic, his lauded debut album that would go on to be celebrated by hip-hop fans the world over. The Queensbridge rapper's fifth studio album, Untitled (released 2008) has been shrouded in mystery since its release. With collaborators like Dr Dre and Kanye West, you'd think it should be a top-notch album; but somehow it falls short of expectations. There are moments when Nas' lyrics are brilliant - “I never killed nobody that didn't deserve it” he boasts at one point - but for me this was too few and far between. At nine tracks long, the CD should be the right length; but somehow it feels like it could have done with 1 or 2 more songs to fill out its running time. It's not like I don't like the album; the beats are great (particularly “You Can”) and Nas is on top form (“I didn't wanna be White Jesus). But I feel like there was too much filler here, and ultimately this has ended up being one of Nas' weaker albums to date.http://rapreviews.com/archive/2008_08_untitled.html https://itunes.apple. com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 http://www.rapreviews.com/archive/2008_08_untitled.html http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/nas-untitled-december-2008/-id363088284?i=363088314&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 https://itunes.apple. com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore. woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=325336852&s=143441 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324674329&s=143441 https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore. cfa1e77820
